Money transfers from Uzbekistan to Azerbaijan increased by 62.4%

June 17, Fineko/abc.az. In the 1st quarter of 2026, the money transfers between Azerbaijan and Central Asian countries by individuals amounted to $12.72 million.

ABC.AZ reports, referring to the CBA, that of this amount, $10.17 million accounted for receipts to Azerbaijan, and $2.56 million for transfers from the country.

As a result, positive balance in money transfers with the Central Asian states totaled $7.62 million against $6.45 million a year earlier.

Overall transfers with Kazakhstan reached $7.09 million. Receipts from this country increased by 5.9% up to $5.47 million, while transfers from Azerbaijan to Kazakhstan increased by 28% up to $1.62 million. The balance reached $3.85 million (against $3.9 million a year earlier).

With Uzbekistan, the total volume of transfers reached $4.82 million. Receipts from Uzbekistan grew by 62.4% up to $3.89 million and transfers from Azerbaijan to this country by 59.9% up to $0.93 million. The positive balance reached $2.95 million, which is 63.1% more than a year ago ($1.81 million).

The total volume of transfers with Kyrgyzstan amounted to $1.62 million. Revenues from this country increased by 9.6% up to $810,000. Transfers from Azerbaijan to Kyrgyzstan in the 1st quarter of 2026 also totaled $810,000, as a result of which the balance between the countries turned out to be almost zero.
