June 16, Fineko/abc.az. For Jan-May 2026, Azerbaijan imported 26,805 vehicles for $542.27 million.

Compared with the 2025 same term, car imports decreased by 31.3% in monetary terms and by 37.3% in quantitative terms, ABC.AZ reports with reference to the State Customs Committee.

In particular, our country imported 42,786 vehicles for $789.75 million for Jan-May 2025.

In the first 5 months of this year, the import of automobiles in Azerbaijan totaled 23,411 vehicles, compared with 39,009 cars in the previous year. Thus, the number of cars intended mainly for transporting people decreased by 40% against Jan-May 2025.
