June 16, Fineko/abc.az. Following the achievement of an agreement in principle between Tehran and Washington, a broad coalition of states has formed in international politics that are ready to fully normalize economic relations with the Islamic Republic.
ABC.AZ informs that Italy, France, Germany and the UK acted as the locomotive of the process.
In a joint communique, the European powers expressed their readiness to coordinate actions with the U.S. and the IAEA to verify the peaceful nature of Iran's nuclear program. In exchange for transparent and verifiable steps by Tehran, the parties undertake to cancel the existing sanctions packages.
Expansion of the coalition:
Major global players such as Japan, Canada and Australia promptly joined the initiative of the European Quartet.
Another 10 countries have also officially announced their readiness to unblock economic ties and lift restrictions: Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Estonia, Finland, Greece, Latvia, Poland, Portugal, and the Dominican Republic. To date, the total number of countries that have supported the lifting of sanctions has reached 17.
