21:30 - 12.06.2026

June 12, Fineko/abc.az. The Central Bank of Azerbaijan’s annual report delivers a macro-financial breakdown of international monetary vectors, charting the global market volatility that conditioned sovereign reserve placement strategies.

According to ABC.AZ, checking the external risk parameters evaluated by the CBA research desk:

  • Tariff Policies and Softening Dollar: Protectionist tariff statements originating from the US presidential administration sparked broad anxieties among market participants regarding a synchronized slowdown in global and domestic US GDP growth. This escalating uncertainty weighed negatively on the greenback, driving down the aggregate value of the US dollar.

  • Central Banking Vigilance: Against a backdrop of cooling headline inflation, major central banks across the US and Europe initiated monetary easing cycles. However, with consumer price indices remaining stickily above official targets, the Federal Reserve and the ECB maintained a cautious transactional posture, amplifying asset price oscillations worldwide.
