June 11, Fineko/abc.az. Xiaomi (China) has received permission from the PRC authorities to produce hybrid cars with power reserve booster at its Beijing factories. Previously, the company produced only SU7 and YU7 electric vehicles.
ABC.AZ informs that the decision has been confirmed by the Ministry of Industry & Information Technology of the People's Republic of China. This is company's first official step towards expanding its model range with hybrid vehicles, which are in demand amid price competition and demand for large crossovers in China.
Xiaomi is planning to launch new car brand Skynomad. Its first product will be a full-size hybrid SUV Kunlun N3 with length of nearly 5.3 m and range of up to 500 km. The main competitors will be Li Auto and Aito.
