June 9, Fineko/abc.az. Lending on state funds in Azerbaijan has reached 1.2 bn manats.
ABC.AZ reports that Zakir Nuriyev, the chairman of the Association of Banks of Azerbaijan, stated about this at the X International Finance and Banking Summit held in Baku.
According to Nuriyev, one of the main priorities was expansion of access to financial resources within the State Program for Development of Production & Processing of Agricultural, Fisheries & Aquaculture Products for 2026-2030, recently approved by President Ilham Aliyev: "In this direction, it is planned to create and support agricultural credit cooperatives, strengthen the agricultural insurance system, expand subsidy mechanisms, guarantee and preferential loans. In this context, the dynamics of loans provided by public funds is also highlighted. Over the past reporting period, the volume of loans given by state funds in all spheres reached 1.2 bn manats."
