June 9, Fineko/abc.az. A new stage in the integration of digital banking and finance in Azerbaijan is aimed.
ABC.AZ informs that Zakir Nuriyev, the Chairman of the Association of Banks of Azerbaijan (ABA), made the above-said statement at the X International Finance and Banking Summit held in Baku.
He also outlined the key challenges on the agenda:
"These challenges primarily include ensuring the sustainability of ongoing reforms, the adoption of a law on digital banks, as well as the further expansion of integration ties in the financial and banking system in the region. The steps that will be taken in this direction will make an important contribution to the full transition of relations between banks and customers to the digital plane, as well as to the formation of the country as an innovation hub.
As part of the ongoing reforms, it is also important to create an innovation center that will play a significant role in stimulating innovation and identifying key areas. It should be noted that the formation of such a center at the Central Bank may be more effective."
