Azeri Light Crude Drops Below $100 Barrel Mark

June 6, Fineko/abc.az. Global oil markets have registered a decline in the price of Azerbaijani crude oil.

ABC.AZ reports that the price for a barrel of Azeri Light crude oil fell by $1.13, or 1.28%, to settle at $99.48. With this latest dip, the Azerbaijani benchmark has slipped below the psychologically important $100 threshold.

Historical Minimums and Maximums: For reference, the all-time price records for Azeri Light crude on the global market are as follows:

  • All-time low: Recorded on April 21, 2020, amid the global pandemic demand shock, when the price bottomed out at $15.81 USD.

  • All-time high: Reached in July 2008 during the global economic boom, peaking at $149.66 USD.
