May 25, Fineko/abc.az. In April 2026, the number of employees in the banking sector increased by 0.5% or 148 people, reaching 27,389 people.

ABC.AZ informs with reference to the Central Bank that in March of this year, the number of bank employees was 27,241. The quantity of bank employees grew by 1,450 people year-on-year.

As of April 30, 2026, 22 operating banks numbered 505 branches, 85 sub-branches and 3,498 ATMs.
