May 5, Fineko/abc.az. BioNTech is shutting down production of the COVID-19 vaccine in Germany and transferring it to Pfizer partner.

ABC.AZ reports that by the end of 2027, the company will close a number of sites and leave only offices.

The restructuring will allow saving up to 500 million euros annually from 2029. In the future, BioNTech will focus on developing cancer treatments.
