May 4, Fineko/abc.az. The volume of micro-loans in Azerbaijan in the 1st quarter of 2026 increased by 3% up to 3.675 bn manats.

ABC.AZ informs with reference to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan that the total volume of micro-loans at the beginning of this year amounted to 3.675 bn manats.

The volume of microloans usually changes in the first quarters of the year with low dynamics. For example, in the 1st quarter of last year, this portfolio decreased by 1% compared with the previous quarter. In the following quarters - the 2nd, 3rd and 4th - it grew by 4%, 7%, 4% and 3%, respectively.

Loans to small businesses increased by 1% and reached 1.732 bn manats, while loans to medium-sized businesses increased by 0.17% up to 2.292 bn manats. A drop of 0.42% was recorded in the large business segment: the volume of loans to large enterprises decreased to 8.514 bn manats by the end of the quarter.
