Growth by 16.7% reported on expenses on South Caucasus gas pipe

May 1, Fineko/abc.az. In the 1st quarter of this year, operating expenses on the South Caucasus Gas Pipeline (SCP) amounted to nearly $21 million, and capital expenditures - $9 million. This means a rise of 16.7% and 50%, respectively, compared with Jan-Mar 2025.

ABC.AZ informs, referring to bp’s report, that the average daily throughput of SCP for exports totaled 63.5 million cu m (2.7 million cu m more versus Jan-Mar of 2025).

The SCP was commissioned at the end of 2006 and supplies gas from Shah Deniz field to Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey. The system of expansion of SCP began supplying commercial volumes of gas to Turkey in June 2018, and to Europe in December 2020.
