April 13, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan registered 1,696,283 taxpayers as of April 1, 2026 (a rise of 5.1% against April 1 , 2025), ABC.AZ informs with reference to the State Tax Service.

Of the total number of taxpayers, 86.8% are individuals and 13.2% - legal entities and other organizations.

During the year, the number of individual entrepreneurs increased by 4.9% and the number of institutions, enterprises and organizations by 6.2%.

At the end of March 2026, the number of registered commercial organizations reached 206,986 (a rise of 6.8% year-on-year).

In March, 750 commercial organizations passed state registration, of which 91.3% were created with local investments and 8.7% with foreign investments. At the same time, 86.9% of companies are registered electronically, and the share of electronic registration of local limited liability companies was 97.2%.

In general, 92.1% of commercial legal entities are established in the form of limited liability companies.
