April 9, Fineko/abc.az. Walt Disney is planning to cut up to 1,000 jobs in the coming weeks, many of which will be produced in the Marketing Department, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing sources.

ABC.AZ informs that plans for upcoming job cuts emerged even before Josh D'amaro took over as CEO of Disney in March.

Upcoming layoffs may affect less than 1% of the total number of employees. As of the end of fiscal year 2025, Disney employed nearly 231,000 people.
