April 1, Fineko/abc.az. It is planned to increase the annual production capacity of the electrolysis plant in Azerbaijan up to 100,000 tons.

ABC.AZ reports that this is provided for within the State Program on development of the mining (metal ores) and metallurgical industries 2027-2030, approved by the order of President Ilham Aliyev.

According to the document, completion of the electrolysis plant project is one of the key tasks, and by 2030 its capacity should reach 100,000 tons a year.

In addition, the order notes the need for further development of Azəralüminium CJSC. In particular, it envisages expansion of the production chain based on the principle of "raw materials – processing – final product", as well as an increase in export opportunities.

As part of those measures, it is planned to continue the project for manufacture of rolled aluminum and increase its annual capacity up to 50,000 tons by 2030.
