Oil price goes up: Brent - $77.76 a barrel

March 2, Fineko/abc.az. Prices for oil of benchmark grades are rising steadily on Monday because of U.S.’ strikes on Iran and fears of disruptions in fuel supplies from the region.

As of 09:22, at the ICE Futures exchange, the price of May’s Brent crude futures soared by $4.89 (6.71%) up to $77.76 per barrel. Following the trading on February 27, Brent futures in May rose by $2.03 (2.87%) to $72.29 per barrel.

At the NYMEX stock exchange, April’s futures for WTI crude oil increased in price by $4.32 (6.45%) up to $71.34 per barrel by 09:22. Following the trading on February 27, April’s WTI futures grew in price by $1.81 (2.78%) up to $67.02 per barrel.

Following the past week, crude oil Brent rose by 1.00% and WTI by 0.81%.
