February 12, Fineko/abc.az. In 2025, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) carried out 66,000 meters of drilling operations.

ABC.AZ informs that 7.1 million tons of oil and 7.8 bcm of gas were produced from fields operated by SOCAR independently or as the main shareholder. Company's natural gas extraction grew by 1.4% against 2024.

The gas production in the country increased by 2.1% up to 51.5 bcm. In total, 27.7 million tons of oil were produced in Azerbaijan in 2025.

SOCAR exported 16.1 million tons of oil to foreign markets, including company's own production, as well as shares of profits from production by international consortia operating in the country, owned by the state of Azerbaijan and SOCAR.

Natural gas exports totaled 25.2 bcm, while domestic consumption - 13.2 bcm. Due to an increase in the share of renewable energy sources in electricity generation, domestic gas consumption declined by 3.1%.

In 2025, SOCAR processed more than 6.2 million tons of oil and more than 3 bcm of gas. Oil production at the company's refineries increased by 7.2% compared with 2024.

In addition, 2.2 million tons of petroleum, petrochemical and gas chemical products produced at SOCAR enterprises in Azerbaijan were exported to foreign markets.
