February 4, Fineko/abc.az. The U.S. Treasury has issued a license authorizing operations on export and supply of American oil diluents to Venezuela, including transactions with state company PDVSA.
ABC.AZ informs that payments by the Venezuelan authorities are allowed, but all transactions must comply with U.S. laws and be handled in American jurisdiction.
The license does not apply to Iran, North Korea, and Cuba, and prohibits settlements in cryptocurrencies, gold, and non-commercial payment schemes, as well as transactions with sanctioned vessels. Suppliers are required to report regularly to Washington. The easing of sanctions does not apply to individuals associated with Russia, Iran, China, North Korea and Cuba.
