January 26, Fineko/abc.az. In 2025, the Baku branch of Bank Melli Iran retained the leadership in terms of return on assets (RoA) in the banking sector of Azerbaijan.

ABC.AZ informs that bank's RoA was 3.67%, despite the fact that this figure has decreased (6.48%) compared with 2024. VTB Bank Azerbaijan occupies the 2nd place (2.98%) and Kapital Bank - 3rd place (2.78%). Kapital Bank managed to slightly increase the RoA indicator compared with the previous year.

RoA is calculated as the ratio of bank's net profit to its net assets.
