December 30, Fineko/abc.az. The price of gasoline increased by 5 gapiks and for diesel fuel by 10 gapiks in Azerbaijan.

ABC.AZ informs that the Tariff Council has adopted a relevant resolution.

Tariffs have been set for gasoline AI-92 and diesel fuel.

In order to ensure the sustainability of regular passenger transport by road, the quality and safety of services provided to passengers, and the effective organization of carriers' work in this area, taking into account advanced international requirements and practices, the public transport target budget fund was established by a relevant decree in September 2025.

The portion of the road tax transferred to the Fund for each liter of automobile gasoline, diesel fuel and liquefied gas has been identified as one of the sources of income forming the Fund.

According to changes in legislation, the road tax is set at 0.07 manat per 1 liter of fuel.

In this regard, the relevant decision of the Tariff (Price) Council has changed the price of 1 liter of AI-92 gasoline from 1.1 manats to 1.15 manats, and 1 liter of diesel fuel from 1 manat to 1.1 manats.
