December 30, Fineko/abc.az. The Indian government has demanded $30 bn from Reliance Industries and BP because of sharp decline in production at deepwater fields D1 and D3 of Block D6 in the Bay of Bengal.
ABC.AZ informs that the projects, which began in 2016, faced production problems and cost-sharing disputes.
Initially, the estimated reserves were 10.3 trillion cubic feet, later reduced to 3.1 trillion. The arbitration will consider the case in the 1st half of 2026.
