By end of this year, 40 houses to be renovated in Kerkijahan

December 25, Fineko/abc.az. Renovation of 40 houses in Kerkijahan village is planned by the end of this year, and 280 ones in 2026.

ABC.AZ reports that Afet Telmankizi, the head of the Public Relations Department of the Construction, Rehabilitation & Management Service in Khankendi, Khojaly and Aghdere districts, told journalists about this during a media tour organized on behalf of the president.

She recalled that the renovation work in Kerkijahan began in May this year: "Currently, there are 33 residential buildings and 1,037 private houses in the village. It is planned to renovate 40 houses by the end of this year and 280 ones in 2026. Repairs have been completed in 30 houses. At the initial stage, 30 families, a total of 115 residents, returned from the cities and areas of their temporary residence to the village, the homeland of their ancestors. A number of social infrastructure projects have also been implemented in the village. Water, electric and gas lines in the area of private homes have been checked, 2 km of underground optical cables, 510 m of power lines laid, lighting poles installed, street lighting provided, and internal roads paved."
