December 22, Fineko/abc.az. SOCAR plans to acquire a 100% stake in the Gama Enerji Iç Anadolu power plant (870 MW) in Turkey.
ABC.AZ reports that Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov made this statement at the 12th meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkey.
He added that SOCAR, which is a leading force in energy cooperation, continues to expand its activities in Turkey: "In this context, Petkim plans to build a number of new plants and modernize some plants. In addition, SOCAR intends to acquire a 100% stake in power plant Gama Enerji Iç Anadolu (870 MW) for $225 million. The agreement will be signed tomorrow at the 2nd Azerbaijan-Turkey Investment Forum."
