December 18, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan exported 9.798 bcm of gas to Turkey for Jan-Oct 2025 (3.5% more versus Jan-Oct 2024), ABC.AZ reports, referring to the Turkish Energy Market Regulatory Council (EPDK).
According to the EPDK, 9.41 bcm of them were supplied on the basis of a long-term agreement and 387.55 million cu m on a spot basis.
In October, Azerbaijani gas supplies to Turkey totaled 996.8 million cu m (- 1.17%). At that, 977.63 million cu m of gas were exported on a long-term basis and 19.16 million cu m within the spot mechanism.
As a whole, Turkey imported 4.104 bcm of gas in October (+3.86%). Of this volume, 3.445 bcm (83.94% of all supplies, a drop of 3.92%) accounted for pipeline gas and 659.4 million cu m (16.06% of all supplies, a rise of 1.8-fold) for liquefied natural gas (LNG).
Azerbaijan took the 2nd place in terms of supplies in October (24.28% of overall supplies to Turkey). Russia was in 1st place (39.67% of all supplies), Iran - 3rd (19.98%), Algeria - 4th (8.86%), and Senegal - 5th (2.4%).
In October, gas supplies to Turkey were carried out from seven countries: Azerbaijan, Russia, and Iran through pipelines, while LNG supplies from Algeria, the USA, Egypt and Senegal.
According to the EPDK, Azerbaijan supplied 11.478 bcm of gas to Turkey in 2024 (+11.9% of the 2023 figure).
