December 17, Fineko/abc.az. Since December 13, Iran has been operating a new progressive gasoline pricing system: up to 60 liters/month - 15,000 rials per liter, the next 100 liters - 30,000 rials, over 160 liters - 50,000 rials.
ABC.AZ reports that the increase is caused by high economic pressures, rising subsidy costs ($50 bn a year) and production shortages. The measure is aimed at reducing fuel consumption and reducing the burden on the budget with inflation of about 40%.
