December 17, Fineko/abc.az. Midad Energy (Saudi Arabia) is considered as one of the key contenders for the purchase of LUKOIL's foreign business worth approx. $22 billion, which includes fields, refineries and a network of gas stations around the world.
ABC.AZ reports that the company is ready to offer an all-cash deal with the placement of funds in escrow accounts until the sanctions are lifted. Exxon Mobil, Chevron and the Carlyle Foundation are also showing interest in the assets. The sale is linked to the tightening of U.S. sanctions against LUKOIL.
