IMF updates forecasts for nominal GDP of Azerbaijan in 2025-2030

October 21, Fineko/abc.az. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has lowered its forecasts for Azerbaijan's nominal GDP in the October issue of the Regional Economic Outlook.

ABC.AZ informs that the IMF forecasts Azerbaijan's nominal GDP for 2025 at $76.4 bn and for 2026 at $80 bn, while in the May issue these figures were expected at $78.9 bn and $81.9 bn, respectively.

On the other hand, the IMF's long-term forecast for 2030 remained virtually unchanged at $100.8 bn, which is slightly lower than the forecast of $100.9 bn made in May.

According to Azerbaijani government’s forecast, in 2026 country's GDP will amount to 134.1 bn manats ($78.88 bn). Of this amount, 101.7 bn manats ($59.82 bn ) will account for the non-oil sector.

For example, country's economy is projected to grow by 3.2% next year, including the non-oil sector by 8.8%.

According toAzerbaijani government’s updated forecasts, country's GDP this year will total 129.9 bn manats ($76.41 bn), of which 93.5 bn manats ($54.99 bn) will account for the non-oil sector.
