October 2, Fineko/abc.az. In Azerbaijan, there is a necessity to simplify the procedures related to the issuance of building permits and shorten the time.

ABC.AZ reports, quoting Mammad Musaev, the president of the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs (Employers) Organizations, that in 2024, it took an average of 100-112 days to complete 18 procedures for issuing construction permits in Azerbaijan.

"Currently, these figures have been significantly reduced to 9 procedures and 40 days," he said.

Musayev added that although this period will be reduced to 98 days in the first half of 2025, entrepreneurs expect further simplification of procedures and increased flexibility: "Currently, entrepreneurs are forced to apply for construction and permits to various government agencies, which leads to a delay in the process and legal uncertainty."
