September 29, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijani companies should focus on creating apps tailored to users in their region,

ABC.AZ reports that Zack Kass, consultant and former head of market entry at OpenAI, said about this during a press conference at the INMerge 2025 innovation summit organized by PASHA Holding.

He noted that success isn't limited to Silicon Valley companies, and infrastructure and apps are key factors.

"We're increasingly seeing apps outside of Silicon Valley getting better over time. And this is because the app layer is incredibly important. My main advice to companies in Azerbaijan or anywhere else is: build apps for people in your region. The markets are big enough. Or build infrastructure. Build pipelines: DataOps, MLOps. But I wouldn't invest in data centers or fundamental research," he emphasized.
