September 22, Fineko/abc.az. One of the most beautiful resorts in Montenegro was built with the participation of Azerbaijan, and the total investment cost reached $1 bn with the possibility of expanding the project.

ABC.AZ informs that Montenegro's Minister of Tourism Simonida Kordic made thr relevant statement at the first Azerbaijan International Investment Forum (AIIF-2025) in Baku.

She noted that tourism is the largest industry in Montenegro, contributing to our GDP at the level of 30%.

"This means that a third of our economic activity can be attributed to tourism. This turns it into a strategic sphere that influences all other aspects of economic, social and political life. Tourism has a direct impact on health care, education and social protection services. Therefore, it is extremely important to pay special attention to this industry, which means creating the most favorable investment environment," the minister said.

She added that more than 120 countries are currently investing in Montenegro.
