August 1, Fineko/abc.az. "In 2025 and 2026, Azerbaijan's fiscal policy will support economic growth, while maintaining macroeconomic stability."
ABC.AZ reports that this is stated in the forecast for the country by Fitch Solutions, a member of the Fitch Group.
Government spending will play a key role in stimulating domestic demand through investments focused primarily on infrastructure and social services.
According to the report, the budget deficit in these two years will average 1.1% of GDP. It is indicated that in 2021-2024, Azerbaijan recorded budget surplus for four consecutive years, and the expected deficit is associated with reduction in oil revenues.
It is emphasized that the State Oil Fund plays an important role in ensuring fiscal sustainability.
