August 1, Fineko/abc.az. By the end of September, Apple's costs will amount to almost $2 bn because of customs duties imposed by U.S. President Donald Trump, ABC.AZ informs, referring to portal Apple Insider.
According to the portal, the company has already lost $800 million since the new import tariffs came into force. By the end of the current fiscal quarter, another $1.1 bn will be added to this amount.
It is noted that most of the duties paid by Apple related to Trump's duties against China. However, currently, most iPhones sold in the U.S. come from India, and most Macs, iPads, and Apple Watches are made in Vietnam.
In early June, it was reported that Apple has become the most expensive brand for 2 years in a row. In 20205, it rose in price by 11%, up to $574.5 billion.
The total value of the hundred most expensive brands has reached $3.2 trillion.
