June 23, Fineko/abc.az. "Collecting, analyzing, and storing effective credit information plays a crucial role in any country's financial stability and risk management."

ABC.AZ reports that President of the Association of Banks of Azerbaijan Zakir Nuriyev made the relevant statement at the opening ceremony of the 1st International Credit Conference.

He said that it is no coincidence that the World Bank considers the availability and quality of credit information from international institutions as key indicators in its global business rating reports:

"The creation and development of a credit bureau in Azerbaijan was a challenge of the time. The history of credit information contained in the credit register is one of the most important tasks facing Azerbaijani banks. To this end, in 2018, as a result of the joint efforts of Azerbaijani banks and with the support of the Central Bank and the International Finance Corporation, Azerbaijani banks established the first credit bureau in Azerbaijan."
