May 29, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan's most expensive and valuable companies mainly operate in the fields of energy, communications, banking and industry.

According to ABC.AZ’s  research, this list is not officially published annually, but given the overall market position, revenue, and strategic importance, the following companies are singled out as the most expensive:

1. SOCAR (State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan)

SOCAR is Azerbaijan's largest and strategically important state-owned company engaged in oil production, refining and sale. The company has subsidiaries abroad, for example, the STAR refinery in Turkey. The exact value of the company has not been disclosed, but is estimated at billions of dollars.

2. AzerGold CJSC

A state-owned company engaged in the extraction of gold and other precious metals. It has a high cost in terms of revenue and production capacity.

3. Azercell Telecom

Azerbaijan's largest mobile operator, which has been leading in terms of market share for many years. The company's market value is approx. close to $1 billion.

4. Pasha Holding and its subsidiaries

They operate in the financial sector, insurance, real estate, construction and other fields. The holding includes Pasha Bank, Pasha Insurance, and Pasha Construction. The total value of the holding is estimated at billions of dollars.

5. Kapital Bank

The largest branch network, one of the leading banks working with the public. One of the most valuable banks in the country with high profitability and market share.

6. Azərişıq / Azərenerji

State-owned companies involved in the production and distribution of electricity have very high cost.
