April 16, Fineko/abc.az. The Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) will raise the discount rate by 0.25 percentage points to 7.5% during the next board meeting scheduled for April 23.

ABC.AZ informs, referring to ING Group's forecast, that CBA will keep the discount rate at 7.5% until the third quarter of 2026.

Then, according to ING’s forecasts, the rate will rise to 7.75% in the third quarter of 2026, and to 8% in the fourth quarter.

Earlier, the group predicted the tightening of monetary policy in the country, starting in the third quarter of next year to 7.5%, in the fourth quarter - to 7.75%.

On March 12, 2025, the Central Bank left the discount rate unchanged at 7.25%.
