March 13, Fineko/abc.az. Since 2019, the number of active taxpayers in Azerbaijan has increased 1.8-fold, reaching 807,000 by the beginning of the year.

ABC.AZ reports that Orhan Nazarli, the head of the State Tax Service (under the Ministry of Economy), stated about this at a conference on financial control devoted to the Year of the Constitution & Sovereignty in Baku.

"During this period, the number of VAT-payers has tripled up to 52,800," he said.
