According to the head of the regulator, Joachim Nagel, additional losses will be lower in the future.

At that, total assets in 2024 decreased by nearly €149 bn, or 5.9%, up to €2.373 bn.
Nagel noted that the Bundesbank has "reliable" balance sheet, explaining that the value of its reserves, in particular for gold, exceeds current and possible accumulated losses.
"By the end of 2024, they amount to €267 bn," the head of the regulator stressed.
