February 13, Fineko/abc.az. From January 1, 2019 to January 1, 2025, the number of employment contracts grew by 33%, and in the non-oil/private sector - by 82.1%.

ABC.AZ informs that Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov said about this at forum "Tax Service - 25: Sustainable Development & Effective Transformation" in Baku.

He noted that as of January 1, 2025, the largest increase in the number of employment contracts was observed in the sphere of trade - by 29.6%, services - by 22.7%, industry - by 12.9%. Low growth was observed in the financial, communications, agricultural and transport sectors in the range of 2.3-4.7%.

"52.3% of employment contracts are in the trade and services sector," the minister added.
