December 17, Fineko/abc.az. The Head of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, has visited today the Alat Free Economic Zone. 

ABC.AZ reports that during the meeting with participation of Economy Minister of Azerbaijan Mikayil Jabbarov, FEZ’s chairman of board Valeh Aleskerov and the delegation led by the Head of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, it was noted that activities of Alat FEZ, equipped with unique legislative framework, as well as modern engineering and communication systems, provided detailed information on land plots.

A total of 27 investors were registered in the Alat FEZ. Of them, active construction work is underway on four investor sites.

And three more registered investors will begin construction in early 2025.

Taking into account the demand for investor's plots, 18 months ago, infrastructure works were started on the new territory with a total area of 138 hectares. These works are to be completed in the first half of 2025.

At that, construction & installation works of the airport owned by SW-AFEZCO are in full swing on a 748-hectare site of zone 4 with total area of 4,313 hectares. The airport is specially designed for enterprises producing innovative technologies and pharmaceutical products.
After the meeting, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov presented three minibuses for the Jabrayil, Gubadli and Zangilan districts, which are part of the Eastern Zangezur Economic Region. Minibuses were presented to President’s Special Representative Vahid Hajiyev in Jabrayil, Gubadli and Zangilan districts.
