December 16, Fineko/abc.az. In Azerbaijan, the number of small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) has increased almost by 64% since 2018 and currently exceeds 401,000.

ABC.AZ reports, quoting chairman of board of the Agency for Development of Small & Medium-sized Businesses (KOBIA) Orkhan Mammadov at award ceremony Dayaq.

He added that the value added created by SMEs more than doubled - from 9.8 billion manats up to 20.1 billion manats.

"The turnover of businesses in this category last year reached 43.8 billion manats (37.3% of the non-oil turnover in the country)," Mammadov emphasized.
