December 16, Fineko/abc.az. In 2025, 546 million manats will be allocated from the State Budget of Azerbaijan for efficient use of water resources, providing farmers with water and expanding irrigated areas.

ABC.AZ reports that Prime Minister Ali Asadov made this statement during discussions in the 3rd reading of the State Budget package for 2025 at the Milli Majlis plenary session.

According to the PM, solving the problems that have arisen in the water sector is one of the serious tasks facing the government in conditions of limited water resources: "On October 10, the president approved the National Strategy for the Efficient Use of Water Resources. The document covers 2024-2040 and envisages the measures to increase water resources, reduce water losses, and improve infrastructure."
