Ali Asadov: Strengthening country's military defense capability is number one priority

 December 16, Fineko/abc.az. According to macroeconomic forecasts, GDP will grow by 3.5% (129.2 billion) in 2025. In the non-oil sector, the real growth rate will be 4.9%.

ABC.AZ reports that PM Ali Asadov said this during the 3rd reading of the Bill on State Budget 2025 in the Milli Majlis.

Asadov noted that in 2025, State Budget revenues are projected at $38.4 bn manats, and expenses - 41.4 bn manats:

"The ratio of State Budget deficit to GDP is 2.4%. The draft budget is the largest in the history of modern Azerbaijan."

As the PM noted, the budget policy for 2025 and in the medium term has been prepared taking into account the main goals, as well as the main priorities set for the government by the President of Azerbaijan.

Among the main priorities, the PM named the strengthening of country's military defense capability and national security, the measures envisaged in the Socio-Economic Growth Strategy 2022-26, restoration, reconstruction, reintegration of Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur into country's economy and ensuring the Great Return to the liberated territories, additional package of social support for strengthening social protection and improving population’s welfare, supporting sustainable economic growth, ensuring macroeconomic stability and budget sustainability and measures stipulated by the NAR State Program.
