November 28, Fineko/abc.az. The number of electronic purchases conducted in Azerbaijan for Jan-Oct 2024 reached 17,804, and the number of procurement participants - 99,447, ABC.AZ informs, referring to the State Service for Antimonopoly & Consumer Market Control.
In comparison with the 2023 relevant period, the number of participants in the competitions more than doubled. The average number of suppliers participating in one electronic purchase grew 1.45-fold compared with last year and reached 5.66.
"The electronic procurement of public procurement not only serves to create equal conditions of competition for all suppliers, but also creates conditions for informing the public about the results of purchases and strengthening public control in general," the Service notes.
