November 26, Fineko/abc.az. The State Tax Service is studying the issue of introducing new environmental taxes in Azerbaijan.

ABC.AZ reports that STS deputy head Samira Musayeva stated to journalists about this.

According to Musayeva, the matter of introducing taxes on carbon emissions is on agenda. Musayeva also stressed that at the moment experts are conducting thorough analysis on the occasion so that taxes do not hinder development of entrepreneurship.

"Taxes should not negatively affect the welfare of the population and increase consumer spending. It is also important not to create a serious tax burden on microentrepreneurs and not limit development of industry as a whole. We take these aspects into account," Musayeva said.
