Azerbaijan increased butter imports by 85%

November 22, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijan imported 24,464 tons of butter and other milk oils for $139.69 million for Jan-Oct 2024, ABC.AZ reports, referring to the State Customs Committee.

The figure is $56.418 million (76.6%) more against Jan-Oct 2023, and 11,260 tons (85.3%) more. Over Jan-Oct 2023, Azerbaijan imported 13,205 tons of butter and other milk oils for $73.65 million.

For the past 10 months of this year, the average import price of 1 kg of butter reached 9.04 manats (0.44 manats or 4.7% less than a year ago).

Over Jan-Oct 2024, imports of butter and other oils from milk made up 0.84% of country's overall imports.
