November 21, Fineko/abc.az. Over Jan-Oct 2024, our country exported 18,606 tons of pomegranates for $16.4 million, ABC.AZ reports, citing the State Customs Committee.

Pomegranate exports decreased by $3.9 million, or 19.2%, in value terms compared with Jan-Oct 2023, and increased by 1,028 tons (by 5.8%) in quantitative terms.

In the first 10 months of 2023, Azerbaijan exported 17,578 tons of pomegranate for $20.3 million.

The average export price of 1 kg of apples exported by Azerbaijan for Jan-Oct 2024 reached 1.50 manats (for Jan-Oct 2023 — the price was 1.96 manats). This means a decrease of 0.46 manats or 23.7% year-on-year.

This year, persimmons accounted for 0.07% of total exports, while the non-oil sector about 0.57%.
