ACWA Power to build 2 GW energy storage systems in Uzbekistan

November 20, Fineko/abc.az. Within COP-29 conference, an agreement was signed between the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan and Saudi company ACWA Power on a project of construction of electricity storage systems with total capacity of 2 GWh throughout the country.

ABC.AZ informs that within the project, studies of the energy system will be conducted around the country, and based on the results, regions will be selected where electricity storage systems will be phased in.

According to preliminary estimates, the total cost of the project is $1.1 billion.
