Share of electric and hybrid vehicles imported in Azerbaijan grows

November 20, Fineko/abc.az. The share of electric and hybrid vehicles among cars imported in Azerbaijan has increased up to almost 20%.

ABC.AZ reports that Minister of Digital Development & Transport Rashad Nabiyev made this statement at the high-level roundtable on climate and urbanization within COP29.

He added that in the last few years, the Azerbaijani government has introduced tax and customs incentives to encourage import of eco-friendly vehicles.

Nabiyev stressed that those measures made it possible to increase the share of electric and hybrid vehicles in the structure of vehicle imports by 10.5% to about 20%.
