Climate-related costs are reflected in budget for 2025

One of the most prestigious events in the world is taking place in the capital of our country, climate issues and its impact on our daily lives are being discussed, ABC.AZ reports, quoting Finance Minister Samir Sharifov as saying this at a joint meeting of the Milli Majlis Committees on natural resources, energy & ecology, labor & social policy, health, international & interparliamentary relations.

He noted that Azerbaijan demonstrates its point of view on these issues on a global scale: "We started working on this in the draft budget. Climate-related expenses have already been reflected in the budget for next year."

The minister touched upon the issues raised in connection with international relations: "When maintaining embassies, paying salaries to their employees, salaries paid at the UN are taken into account. I think quite successful steps have been taken in this area."
