Boeing to lay off more than 2,200 workers in Washington and Oregon

November 19, Fineko/abc.az. More than 2,200 Boeing employees in the U.S. states of Washington and Oregon, according to documents, will be cut as part of the American aircraft manufacturer's plan.

ABC.AZ informs that the layoffs will take place as part of the aircraft manufacturer's plan to cut 17,000 jobs, or 10% of the workforce.

The Society of Professional Engineers and Technicians in the Aerospace Industry reported that 438 members of the Boeing union received a notice of dismissal last week, including 218 engineers and 220 technicians.
